Health and care content — scope and limitations

PawHub publishes vet-reviewed health guides, symptom explainers, breed health profiles, nutrition information, and care articles. All health content is reviewed by a named veterinarian (DVM or BVSc) before publication, and a “Reviewed by Dr. ___, DVM” credit is displayed on each article. This review process supports the educational quality of the content. However:

• Health content is produced for general educational purposes only. It describes general conditions, symptoms and treatments across a wide population of animals. It cannot account for your individual pet’s breed, age, weight, health history, concurrent conditions or medications.
• Veterinary science evolves. Information that was accurate at the time of publication may become outdated as new research, treatments or guidelines emerge. We endeavour to update content regularly but cannot guarantee that all content reflects the latest veterinary guidance at all times.
• Symptom descriptions on PawHub describe common presentations and should not be used to self-diagnose your pet. Many conditions share similar symptoms. Only a qualified veterinarian who has examined your pet can make a diagnosis.
• Nutritional recommendations on PawHub are general guidelines. Your pet’s specific dietary needs should be determined in consultation with a veterinarian, particularly if your pet has a health condition, allergy, or is at a life stage with specific nutritional requirements (e.g., pregnancy, senior age, post-surgery recovery).
• Medication and dosage information on PawHub is for general reference only. Never administer medication to your pet — including over-the-counter products — without first consulting a veterinarian. Many human medications are toxic to animals.

PawHub Pte Ltd accepts no liability for any injury, illness, loss or adverse outcome to your pet arising from reliance on content published on this Site.

Content limitations — educational, never diagnostic

All PawHub health and care content is written and reviewed by our human editorial team, with health articles reviewed by a registered veterinarian before publication. This content is general educational information only.

• Never a diagnosis. PawHub content does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or replace a veterinary examination.
• General guidance only. Our content describes conditions and treatments across a broad population of animals. It cannot account for your individual pet’s history, breed, age or concurrent conditions. Treat all content as general guidance, not advice specific to your pet.
• Always err on the side of professional advice. If your pet’s condition worsens or you remain concerned, seek veterinary advice immediately.
• Not for emergencies. If your pet is in an acute emergency, go directly to a 24-hour emergency vet — do not rely on any website content.

Pet Passport reminders — for convenience only

The Pet Passport tool generates reminders for vaccinations, flea/tick/heartworm treatments, medication refills, grooming and other care events based on the dates you enter. These reminders are provided as a convenience tool only. They do not constitute veterinary advice and are based entirely on the information you have entered. You must verify all vaccination schedules, treatment intervals and medication protocols with your veterinarian. PawHub is not responsible for any missed treatment or adverse health outcome resulting from reliance on Pet Passport reminders.

Editorial accuracy

PawHub makes reasonable efforts to ensure that news articles, editorial features, product reviews and guides are accurate at the time of publication. However, we do not warrant that all content is complete, up to date or free from error. Information — including product specifications, pricing, regulatory rules (such as HDB-approved breeds and import/quarantine requirements) and local services data — can change; we recommend verifying time-sensitive or regulatory information against primary official sources before relying on it.

Services directory — third-party providers

PawHub’s services directory aggregates listings for vets, groomers, boarding facilities, dog walkers, trainers and other providers. PawHub is not the provider of any of these services. We do not carry out background checks, verify professional licences or vet the quality of listed providers. Directory listing information (including hours, prices and contact details) is provided in good faith and may not be current. Always verify critical details directly with the provider, especially for emergency veterinary services.

News aggregation and attribution

The PawHub news section aggregates summaries of and links to stories published by third-party news outlets. Summaries are our own; the underlying reporting belongs to the original publishers. We do not claim any proprietary rights over third-party reporting and we link to original sources. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about how we have presented your content, please contact editorial@ourpetcircle.com.

Affiliate and commercial relationships

PawHub operates a first-party pet shop and may earn revenue from the sale of products featured on the Site. We may also earn affiliate commissions when you purchase products from third-party retailers via links on the Site. Where we review or feature products that we also sell or earn commissions from, this commercial relationship is disclosed on the relevant page. Our editorial team and veterinary reviewers evaluate products independently; commercial relationships do not determine editorial or review outcomes. Affiliate links are clearly labelled on the Site. Sponsored content is clearly identified as “Sponsored” or “In partnership with [name]” and is editorially distinct from our independent content.

Prototype and placeholder content

During development, PawHub used placeholder author names and profiles as illustrative stand-ins. These names do not refer to real individuals employed by or contributing to PawHub, and any resemblance to real persons is unintentional. These placeholders will be replaced with real contributor and veterinary reviewer profiles before the Site is publicly launched. Similarly, any provider listings or community content in pre-launch versions of the Site may be illustrative only.
